Senior Originator - German market

About the role

As our Senior Originator, you step into a role that is both pioneering and highly visible. This is not a place to hide behind process, it’s a hands-on position where you build the foundation yourself: setting up workflows, shaping commercial strategy, nurturing relationships and directly managing activities. As our Energy Desk grows overtime, you’ll gradually help shaping the team. 💡

You take full ownership of revenue management for all operational batteries in our portfolio for Germany. Your mission: maximize value in a way that is sustainable, balanced and smart, while combining commercial performance with lifecycle management and cost efficiency.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Negotiating Offtake contracts with top-tier trading partners and energy market players in Germany.

• Monitoring and challenging optimizers and traders to ensure our batteries deliver the strongest commercial performance possible.

• Acting as the connective link between financiers, optimizers and internal teams, ensuring every asset reaches its full potential.

This is not a trading seat. Your trading and origination background will help you understand and strategically steer the companies trading on our behalf. You bridge the gap between strategy and execution and always with a strong focus on long-term value creation.

Your profile

You’re a hands-on energy professional with 5+ years of experience in the German energy market, and you bring:

• Proven experience in flex trading (gas and/or BESS preferred)

• Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to challenge counterparties

• A communicative, collaborative mindset, definitely not a lone wolf

• Living in Germany, Belgium or the Netherlands and willingness to travel to the Netherlands (Amsterdam) on a monthly base.
