Lead Engineer

As Lead Engineer at GIGA Storage, you lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and ensure that our energy storage projects are delivered on time and with technical excellence. You coordinate all technical aspects of projects across various phases, from conceptual design to execution, and work closely with our project developers, asset managers, technical team, contractors, suppliers, and consultants. With your expertise and vision, you take our projects to the next level and play a key role in the energy transition. You do this not only by tackling technical challenges but also by building a close-knit team and streamlining processes.

Your responsibilities

• You oversee and coordinate all technical designs of our energy storage projects during the engineering and execution phases.

• You lead and support all technical disciplines within an engineering team (HV/MV, electrical protection, SCADA, controls, civil, construction).

• Manage collaboration with contractors, including optimizing designs, meeting contractual obligations, selecting suppliers, and ensuring quality and safety.

• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and share knowledge within the company.

What do you bring?

• A technical degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar field.

• Extensive experience in multidisciplinary technical projects, preferably in the energy sector.

• Expertise in electrical installations and knowledge of standards and regulations.

• You are a leader with a hands-on mentality.

• Proficiency in Dutch and English.
