HSE Manager

As an HSE Manager, you are the expert in safety, health, and environment within GIGA Storage. You are responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and compliance of our HSE system (VNK management system) across all projects. You play a crucial role in increasing safety awareness and ensuring that GIGA Storage complies with all relevant laws and regulations regarding safety and health. 

The position is based in Amstelveen, and you will regularly visit project locations in Lelystad, Amsterdam, Groningen, and Belgium. Here, you will work with teams to translate HSE policies into practice. Additionally, you will work on strategic plans, reports, and participate in meetings to ensure HSE is embedded within our organization. This position offers you the chance to make a significant impact in a young and innovative industry. 

Your main responsibilities

• Implementing and managing the HSE system organization-wide. Ensuring compliance with safety policies and conducting audits and inspections at project sites. 

• Performing risk assessments (RI&E) and workplace evaluations. 

• Advising management and project teams on safety, health, and environmental issues, and coordinating the necessary documentation. 

• Inspecting and reviewing project sites and creating improvement plans. 

• Investigating and reporting incidents while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. 

What do you bring

• Completed HVK education or related experience/training. 

• Experience in HSE roles within the energy, construction, or installation industries. 

• Knowledge of NEN standards (3840, 3140, 1010) and electrical safety. 

• Perseverance and the ability to achieve long-term goals. 

• Strong communication skills, both in Dutch and English.

Additionally, we offer:

• A salary between €5,500 and €6,500 gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek. 

• 8% holiday allowance. 

• Year-end bonus of 7-9% of the annual salary.
