At GIGA Storage, we bridge this gap by developing, managing, and investing in large-scale energy storage projects across Europe. Our advanced battery systems replace fossil-fueled power plants, ensuring a stable and sustainable energy supply.

OUR MISSION
Since our founding in 2018, our mission has been clear: reduce reliance on fossil-fueled power plants and support grid stability with large-scale energy storage solutions. When the wind doesn’t blow and the sun doesn’t shine, we ensure renewable energy remains available.
Our ambition is to develop and deploy 5 GW of battery storage capacity across Europe by 2030. Achieving this requires strong collaboration and growth, both in the Netherlands, Belgium and across Europe.
OUR PROJECTS
Currently, we operate two battery parks with a total capacity of 36 MW and are actively developing new projects with a combined capacity of 1,256 MW. Our goal is to drive innovation and accelerate the transition to 100% renewable energy.
THE LEOPARD PROJECT
At the location of the former aluminum smelter Aldel in Delfzijl (Groningen), we are currently working hard on our GIGA LEOPARD battery. With a capacity of 300 MW and 1.200 MWh it is one of Europe’s largest battery parks.
